Nippon Kayaku Co., Ltd. was founded in 1916 as Japan’s first manufacturer of industrial explosives and adopted its current name in 1945. Since then, the company has grown into a diversified chemical manufacturer, expanding its business around four core areas: explosives, dyes, resins, and pharmaceuticals. Today, Nippon Kayaku operates in three business units: Mobility & Imaging, Fine Chemicals, and Life Science.
